In many places around the world, hunting used to be considered an all-male sport and activity. However, even though many supermarkets have been built which significantly lessen the need to hunt for survival, hunting has become more popular than it used to be, as the hunting industry welcomes female hunters. Different hunting forum threads, articles, blogs and even videos talk about the experiences and lives of women hunters from different parts of the world.

Some women even enjoy traveling to other countries like Turkey and South Africa to join other female hunters out in the wild. Some female hunters hunt for small games like turkeys, rabbits, whitetail deer and migratory birds while some, usually the more experienced women hunters, prefer the more exotic games like moose, razorbacks and bears. Some women hunters are daughters of avid hunters themselves and they learn the strategies and techniques of hunting from their fathers. Other female hunters acquired the interest in hunting through peer influence.

Some women hunters were introduced to hunting by their intimate companion such as a boyfriend or a husband; accompanying their partners at first and getting interested in becoming a hunter themselves as they discover the thrill only hunting can give.

Countless movies and TV shows have made references to the Pacific islands as the perfect get-away. The most popular is this island nation in the South Pacific Ocean east of Vanuatu, west of Tonga and south of Tuvalu – well might as well go ahead and say it – FIJI! As if one couldn’t easily guess that; in fact, do a random survey about the beaches and islands that people would want to run off to and Fiji is one of your top answers.

What is it with Fiji anyway? Fiji may be thought of as the embodiment of everything exotic: from hot sandy beaches to tropical rainforests waterfalls and villages. Choosing was a real challenger but here are the top destinations in the island paradise:

Mamanuca Islands. Learn to scuba dive or snorkel with the diverse marine life, soft corals and dolphins. Visit Navala Village and explore the Yasawa islands. You can even go skydiving from Nadi or sightsee from a seaplane or helicopter.

The Bouma National Park is a marine park that boasts of waterfalls and coastal walks while the Navua River runs from the rainforest to the villages. The more adventurous can explore the remote islands of Kadavu, Lau or Lomaiviti.
