Web Meetings has made conducting businesses with locations both effective and efficient. The world has become a global economy and numerous companies nowadays need to conduct businesses with off-site locations or with other companies, making web meetings an essential part of their operations.

There are various reasons why a business would want to use web meeting rather than have its employees travel to certain locations to conduct meetings. These reasons include enhanced productivity, monetary savings, saving time on travel, and even enhanced employee morale through more time with their family at home. As the prices of gas increase, the cost of travel increases as well. These days, airlines charge hefty fees to fly, including fees for checked baggage. On the other hand, road travel or driving to an off-site location requires mileage expense and depending on how far the location is from the business site, this form of travel can also be very expensive, not to mention time-consuming and exhausting. Aside from airline tickets and mileage expenses, there are other extensive costs associated with traveling for business. If the destination is far enough from the business site, a room in a hotel must be purchased. Another thing to consider is the cost of business meals as well as ancillary travel needs such as taxi rides and parking fees.

By using web meeting, all the aforementioned costs associated with business travel can be avoided and the company can save considerable amount of money.

The theory of UAT or user acceptance testing is quite simple: user acceptance testing is conducted by the product users to determine whether the product meets their expectations, needs and requirements. However, the distance between the theory of user acceptance testing and the reality of what really takes place in a UAT can be quite a big gap.

UAT can be very challenging for a business system analyst. The degree of the business system analyst’s participation in the UAT depends on the project. At the minimum, the analyst should provide guidance to the system behavior. He or she should also identify certain scenarios which would be suitable to test. In some projects, the business system analyst may be requested to review test scripts as well as the test objectives, while there are cases that require the analyst to coordinate and manage the execution of the UAT. For big and complex projects, the business system analyst may need to travel a lot before, during and even after the execution of the user acceptance testing to coordinate with clients, users and developers. Hence, it is important that the analyst is always ready for an unexpected work-related travel.

While a project is on-going, it is wise for a business system analyst to have at least a light carry-on baggage packed and ready for cases wherein he needs to travel to see a client or coordinate with the developers of the system. A small suitcase or bag containing important items such as a smart-casual or business attire, some comfortable clothes and copies of project-related documents would be enough.

Business Travel all over the world now involves women as much as it involves men. However, even though business women are tough, assertive and competitive just like their male colleagues are, women still have some safety concerns that men don’t. Since even in this modern world, a woman can still be vulnerable to attacks such as burglary and rape, a business woman should never have a shortage of ways to prevent such things from happening.

A safe business travel for a woman does not only mean a successful landing of the airplane on the tarmac, or a safe end of a long road trip. Women’s idea of a safe business travel involves a safe and secure place to stay and move about. In order to attain this, there are some things a female business traveler can do. When leaving your hotel room even for a short while, it can be a good idea to place a “do not disturb” sign on your door. This will discourage anyone from entering your room without your permission and while you are away. When staying at a hotel, it always pay to check the doors and windows’ locks.

When arriving at your destination at night, it is advisable to ask your rental car agency or the hotels to arrange someone to accompany you to and from parking lots. When you are alone outdoors at night, it is wise to walk with the crowd and act as if you are a part of a pact to discourage lone attackers.
