Before the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was released as a movie, everyone knew that New Zealand was a beautiful place… when the LOTR movies were launched everyone got to discover just how much beauty New Zealand had to offer.

Who would have thought Middle Earth could exist here on the actual Earth? The lush greens of Queensland were the envy of all who enjoyed the tranquility of nature. Just looking at the clear and green waters of the forests is refreshing enough; it is as If one could already feel the cool waters on his skin. The varying landscape of the country which was generously revealed through the movie- shifting from green plains to tree-less hills to verdant forests to rocky cliffs present an enduring source of awe and fascination to nature-lovers as well as a haven of inspiration for painters and photographers. And who could ever forget the serenity and simplicity of The Shire? Certainly not those who live in the hustle and bustle of a city.

The movie brought in even more admirers to New Zealand, it was difficult to resist the magnetism of such enviable beauty that’s pretty hard to come by nowadays.

Going beyond the significant impact this has on tourism, the greater picture presents a real challenge and inspiration – the challenge to protect and preserve and the inspiration to stand for nature.
